| Title: She Was Deemed Price: (US) $17.50 (UK) £11.23 Website: (US) www.amazon.com (UK) www.amazon.co.uk Publish Date: August 2004 Synopsis: For nearly 100 years, the story of the R.M.S. Titanic has been told in many distinctive ways, both on the big screen and in paper form. Though the actual facts of what happened on the faithful night of April 14, 1912, still alludes us, as we can only rely on what history has written, facts of the underwater exploration of the site and through the vivid imagination of Hollywood. But never has there been such a thing as one person’s ultimate opinion of the tragedy, of the before, during, and the aftermath of the event. As far back as I can remember I have had a fixation on Titanic and all that she entails. I was in awe of her grandeur, her legend, her technology and her elegance. How through to arrogance of man, as only man can do, pushed her to such a point as to kill her. The stupidity of man thinking they could test the limits of some huge force that was larger than themselves. And due to that testing, Titanic was sacrificed along with the souls she carried within her. In this book I have parleyed my opinion of the Titanic. What it was that she personally meant to me, how I feel about the tragedy, the resurfacing of the items that were below decks of her inners. This book is based on factual information of Titanic with the twist of my opinion. |
